Scholarship Description:

Applications are available to apply for Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarships Program (JJ/WBGSP) from Japan & all eligible developing countries students.In order to apply for this program, Candidatess must hold a Bachelor degree as well asmust be a national of a World Bank member country eligible to borrow from the World Bank.

  • Eligible Course or Subjects:  Master program which has been granted preferred status by the JJ/WBG Scholarship Program.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Must be a national of a World Bank member country eligible to borrow from the World Bank.

How to apply:

  • Candidates can apply for scholarships to both Preferred & Partner Programs.
  • Once you know the application requirements & processes,
  • click here to apply, and refer to the “Accessing your online application” & “Navigating your online application” to navigate step by step the online application.
  • Those seeking a JJ/WBGSP Partner Program scholarship (.xlsx 15 KB) must first apply for admission to 1 or more of the Partner Masters Degree Program(s).
  • Inquiries on how to submit an admissions application to a partner program should be submitted to the respective university.

Supporting Documents:

To apply for this scholarship you need to submit the following required documents:

  1. 2 recommendation letters
  2. One completed Application Form (which includes an applicant’s agreement to conditions stated on the Signature Page of the Application Form).
  3. Applicant’s Bachelor’s degree diploma
  4. C.V. has written in English
  5. unconditional (except for financing)
  6. Letter of Admission for the upcoming academic year to the JJ/WBGSP preferred university master’s program.

Admission Requirements:

Take admission in any JJ/WBGSP preferred university master’s programs before applying for the upcoming academic year.

Language Requirement: Meet specific English language or other language requirements in order to be apply to study there.

Scholarship Benefit:

The scholarship winning candidate will receive the following benefits:

  • Economy class air travel b/w  home country & the host university when start of your study program & immediately following the end of this scholarship period.
  • In addition to the 2-way air travel, scholarship winners will receive a USA $500 travel allowance for each and every trip.
  • Tuition for your graduate study program & the cost of your basic medical insurance which will be obtained through the university.
  • While on university/campus during this scholarship period, a monthly subsistence allowance to cover all living expenses such as (accommodations, food, etc., including books). The amount of the allowance might varies depending on your host country.
